A few days ago, Martim Mariano, a friend of mine, posted about how to overcome a writer’s block.
I’ve shared what I usually do to overcome it, but then I remembered a recent podcast episode where someone (I don’t know who exactly) shared a study on the subject.
It makes everything so clear about what you need to do that I can’t avoid sharing it with you as well.
According to this study, two groups of artists were divided and received different tasks.
🇦One of the groups needed to be shipping one piece a day, for a month.
🇧The other group needed to deliver one masterpiece in a month.
Can you guess what happenedâť“
The first group delivered one piece per day, and some of them could be considered masterpieces.
The second group struggled to deliver in time and still was not entirely pleased with the result.
Why? The pressure to be perfect every day is not as feasible as a creativity standpoint. What you need to do is to be consistent and deliver on a regular schedule your best work at the time.
In the process, you’ll strike gold.
I hope this helps you to find your path and get rid of your doubts.
