Are you scared about GDPR coming right around the corner?
Avoid panic! It’s not going to help you if you panic. However, you shouldn’t be relaxed as if nothing is happening. It is! And with serious consequences to us all.
What is effectively changing? A lot and… nothing, actually. Ambiguous? You’re right. But that’s why it has been a real pain for companies around the world to fully understand what they should to to avoid being fined by the new GDPR. I’m not a real expert in the matter. In fact, almost nobody is since the law is still being adapted to each European country different constitutions. So, small differences will be present depending on the country you’re in.
In my case, I’ve been closely working with different task teams and associations in order to keep my company under compliance no matter what kind of GDPR adoption we’re in depending on each country. Kwanko is right in the middle of it all. It’s a major digital marketing solutions provider in several countries, european and non-european, with close connection with both clients and publishers/channels. However, when we have a team like ours and with a long time of preparation, everything goes well.
What can you expect from this GDPR Q&A?
First of all, I’ll try to push it as a a Q&A drive than just a speaking slot. However, what you can expect from my end is to share my experience dealing with every aspects of the GDPR under a Marketing company. For instance, here are some of the cornerstone topics it might be interesting for you:
- Marketing Databases, previously and from now on;
- Responsibility, what will change;
- Fines, what, why and when;
- Security by Design, what it means;
- Business Growth under these constrains;

I hope this relates to you. And BTW, it’s not only for European companies. But for all who handles personal data from European Citizens.
