Now that’s an imaginative way to start a blog. But here’s the thing: this is the first post on THIS blog.
I’ve started blogging in 1999 or maybe 2000 right in the beginning of these platforms, which were obviously very archaic. I’ve started and closed more than 8 blogs from my count. In those days, it was personal, like an online diary. Then it evolved to be a way to reach a online community, as if it was a social network of that time. Well, then things have evolved even further.
Now, it’s a way to share knowledge, ideals, thoughts and to make a persona out of ourselves but as if it created a filter. What I mean is since most people have social networks profiles, easy publishing systems like Tumblr or others that can provide easier ways to engage and share short interactions (see most of the articles os status updates on Tumblr and you’ll see what I mean), this has brought a new dimension and depth to the ones that use more consistent ways to share their knowledge.
Other thing that has brought some importance to a more carefully written blog is due to the fact that everything and everyone search for each other online. And if an employer or a business partner search for our name we want to look good, right?
It has cleaned up the space and specially redacted articles are now flourishing and this is always a good thing.
What I Want to Share with This Blog
The reason I’ve started this blog is quite simple. I’ve been blogging in other places, like zopply’s blog, sendxmail’s blog, in my portuguese marketing blog and in some other publications as a guest author. But sometimes, in neither of these places I can write about some key experiences that can be of benefit from you. This is because it’s about some niche topics and I needed something more abroad to reflect that.
So, bottom line is that whenever I’ve got something that doesn’t comply with any of the other media or is a little long to be a status update, this is the place I’ll share it. So, if you’re interested, stay tuned on this blog.
I promise it will be good!
