Something I’ve learned too late in my professional life.
Everyone, it doesn’t matter the job they have, should market themselves better internally.
We spend too much time marketing ourselves or our brands to the outsider crowd, and we forget about our insider-company ecosystem.
Here are a few tips that seemed to work for me.
3 Tips To Market Themselves Better Internally
1. Learn how to speak in a way your management and colleagues understand. They don’t care if you’ve done a brand new banner that it’s disruptive. They care about how that will impact the business bottom line.
2. Be trustworthy. Speak the truth even when your strategy and campaigns don’t work as expected. Show that you’ve learned something from it and explain how you’re tackling a solution.
3. Create a regular/monthly newsletter or bulletin to your entire workforce, showing how the metrics are doing, what you’re doing about it and what you’re creating next.
Wrapping up!
It’s a way to market yourself and your team inside your own brand and make them proud of what everyone is accomplishing.
You’ll be amazed by how much colleagues think that you just do fun stuff and gimmicks. Not contributing to the company’s MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue).
